Michelle was born and raised in Raleigh, NC. She attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise and Sport Science with minors in Chemistry and Medical Anthropology. She obtained her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Emory University in 2020. She is certified in Dry Needling and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). Michelle has also taken several courses through the Institute of Clinical Excellence (ICE) and utilizes a “fitness-forward” approach with all her patients. 

Michelle enjoys treating a variety of patients and orthopedic diagnoses, but has a special interest in working with athletes (adolescent to weekend warriors to masters), treating patients with low back pain, and weightlifters/CrossFit athletes. Her favorite thing is inspiring a passion for exercise, especially strength training, with her patients to promote functional independence and longevity.

In her free time, Michelle enjoys weightlifting, watching sports (Go Tar Heels!), reading, and going on walks with her husband and her dog.
