Melanie grew up running track in Bucks County, PA before earning her B.S. in Human Nutrition, Foods and Exercise at Virginia Tech. Finding her passion in physical therapy, she successfully completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Duke University, while participating as sideline staff with Duke’s Football team. Post orthopedic residency, she completed and passed her Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) exam.
True to her roots, Melanie enjoys treating runners and athletes, but her true passion lies in developing lasting relationships with her patients, greeting everyone with a smile and good conversation coupled with research based clinical care equals the perfect recipe for long term results.
When she isn’t cheering for the Hokies and Blue Devils, Melanie is always on the move – whether logging a new run on Strava, exploring a new city, or returning books to her local library.
